It's Summer Time at the Morean Arts Center

Hot Glass: The new Glass Studio & Hot Shop open's at the Morean's main location at 719 Central Avenue. Watch dynamic glass artists in action from your stadium seat, take a glassblowing, glass fusing or beadmaking class, or browse the new gift shop featuring original works from a variety of regional glass artists. The Glass Studio & Hot Shop opens July 3rd with a free community celebration at the Morean - for all ages. Stay tuned for details at moreanartscenter.org

Hot Off the Press: The Chihuly Collection presented by the Morean Arts Center! Opening July 11th, this spectacular permanent exhibition of Dale Chihuly's unique artwork graces a 10,000 square foot setting designed by award-winning architect Albert Alfonso at 400 Beach Drive in the heart of St. Petersburg's dynamic downtown.

Try an Art Class for $10 is perfect for anyone who would like to try an art class with no commitment  and no risk. Have fun in a relaxed atmosphere for a couple of hours and decide for yourself if an art class at the Morean is right for you!

Hot Schedules: For those with full calendars, starting June 7th we are rolling out 3 week class sessions in addition to our regular 6 week sessions.

Hot Fun: We all remember what it's like to be a kid - school's out, the summer fun begins! With the opening of the new Bank of America Children's Learning Center at our Central Avenue location, children of all ages and abilities now have the opportunity to engage in a hands-on, interactive learning environment designed just for them. Also for young artists, we have been planning and working for months on our awesome Summer Art Camp - including new Glass Classes, inspired by the Chihuly Collection for ages 7 and up, and Clay Camp at the new Morean Arts Center for Clay!
