Please read the policies below before completing your registration form or registering online
Registration Policy
Enrollment is accepted only after full payment is received by the Morean. Pro-rating is not available. All registration is on a first-come-first-served basis. Students are responsible for obtaining and providing materials for classes unless otherwise noted.
Refund Policy
A refund request must be made 7 days in advance of the start of a scheduled program. A $25 registration fee is deducted from the refund.
Students withdrawing less than 7 days preceding the start of a program will receive a credit towards a class of equal value in any session valid up to one year from withdrawal.
No refunds or credits will be issued once a program has begun.
NEW! Materials List & Class Confirmation
A materials list will be provided to students at the first class meeting by the instructor for all classes expect workshops. This is to ensure that all students receive a materials list and to provide students with an opportunity to have their questions answered, as well as save students time and money on classes that do not meet due to low registration. A material list for workshops will be provided prior to the start of the workshop, but please remember you must register at least 7 days in advance for the workshops.
Art Materials
Art materials are available at various stores in and around the St. Petersburg area. Central Art Supply, located at 2429 Central Avenue, offers a 10% discount to current members of the Morean. Missed Classes
Class, workshop, or camp attendance is the responsibility of the student.
The Morean Arts Center is not responsible for providing students with make-up classes because a student has missed a class for any reason (student illness, unanticipated travel, etc.) not the fault of the faculty or the Center.
Lost Property
The Morean Arts Center is not responsible for artwork or other property left on the premises and has no liability if artwork or property is missing or taken.
Auditing &Transfers
Students may transfer to another class providing class space is available. You must make arrangements with the Education department prior to attending another class. All class transfers must be made before the second class meeting. No student should be in any classroom unless registered or by permission of the Education Department.
Instructor Substitutions
The Morean reserves the right to substitute instructors of an equal caliber for any class or workshop. The Morean also reserves the right to substitute life and portrait models for any reason.
Cancelled Classes
All classes which have not met the class minimum of 6 by Thursday, September 10 (Session 1) or Wednesday, October 28 (session 2) will be cancelled. Students enrolled in classes which are cancelled by the Morean due to low enrollment will receive a full refund or transfer.
Liability & Photo Release
By virtue of my registration for class (es), I release the Arts Center Association, Inc. from any bodily injury sustained, or loss or damage of any personal article, while on the premises or through my participation in any activity sponsored by the Arts Center Association, Inc. If medical attention is required due to accident or illness, the Arts Center Association, Inc. shall be permitted to seek such medical services on my behalf as it deems necessary and appropriate through EMS/911 and/or local hospitals.
Unless I notify the Arts Center Association, Inc. in writing, by virtue of my registration for class (es), I agree to allow the Arts Center Association, Inc. to take photographs in which I appear, to be used only for Arts Center public relations and archival purposes.
The Arts Center Association, Inc. reserves the right to deny class registration(s) to any student(s) upon refusal or waiver of this liability release.
